National Marine Technician Network (NMTN)
NMTN is part of SWERVE and focuses on creating opportunities for researchers and technicians, fostering collaboration, and sharing expertise. If you are a Marine Technician or interested in the field, NMTN is for you.
We plan to carry out three activities within the framework of NMTN during the autumn of 2025.
Ferrybox Workshop
In November, week 44-45 (to be decided), there will be a Ferrybox workshop. This is the official NMTN training course for 2025. Both Type 1 and Type 2 Ferrybox systems will be covered.
The workshop will be held in Gothenburg and SWERVE will cover associated costs.
Seabird Webinar and on-site training
In September there will be a half day webinar on Seabird. The exact date is to be decided. There will be no cost associated.
We will also organise a Seabird on-site training in Kempten Germany.
This will be organised with participants from the Nordic countries and take place during week 47 i.e. the 17th to 20th (or 21th) including travel days. Meaning there will be 2-3 days of actual workshop time.
Cost: there is a fee of 500 euro and the participant must also cover their own travel expenses.
