Module 3: Enhancing access to Swedish research vessels
Objective
Access to ship time for research is currently limited by a lack of funding options to cover the cost of hiring the vessels. The objective of Module 3 is to remove this obstacle, by providing funding to cover the cost of hiring a vessel for research.
Infrastructure
The SWERVE infrastructure that contributes to Module 3 are:

Management
Module 3 is coordinated through the SWERVE secretariat with GU as the Module Lead Organisation, however the involvement of all SWERVE vessel operators, the Steering Committee and the Review Panel is essential.
Core Actions
1) Implementation and management of Marine Facilities Planning software for voyage applications, scheduling and reporting
2) Coordination of the call for ship-time applications
3) Coordination of the review of ship-time applications and allocation of ship time
4) Support for voyage scheduling, planning and reporting
