Organizational Structure

SWERVE is funded by the Swedish Research Council (VR), together with 7 Partner Organisations who each provide a SWERVE infrastructure: The University of Gothenburg (GU), the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat (SPRS), the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Umeå University (UmU), the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) and Stockholm University (SU). These Partners constitute the SWERVE Consortium.

Secretariat

The lead organisation for SWERVE is GU, which is also where the Secretariat is located.

Ship Operators Network

The Swedish Ship Operators Network (SON) will play an advisory role, providing logistics and infrastructure information to the SC, supporting the secretariat in communication efforts, and maintaining a close relationship with the Director to ensure module implementation is well integrated with existing vessel operations and requirements. The SON will also be involved in the process of prioritising ship time, by running logistical feasibility checks (details provided in Module 3).
